Throughout the chemical, refinery, and power plant industries, many fired heaters operate at high temperature and pressure. The heaters are susceptible to the risk of failure as the refractory lining degrades and equipment becomes damaged. The consequences of undetected refractory breakdown or high tube metal temperature (TMT) can be the loss of production, downtime, and injuries.
Texplore offers inspection services using infrared thermal imaging cameras which can measure TMT, refractory heat leakage, and hotspots. Our inspectors are qualified with the ASNT-SNT-TC-1A Standard of thermal imaging. A technical report, which includes tailored-made recommendations based on thermos-scan results, will be given to the customer after the inspection service.
The qualified inspector would not only check the temperature reading, but also analyzes the current operating conditions of heaters, temperature range, and possible maintenance recommendations to ensure that all areas of concern are examined.
